Scrollmap
This is another form of heatmap that indicates how far visitors scroll on a page. Color is used on the same principle to represent the most viewed sections of the page (red) vs. the least viewed (blue).
By combining heatmap and scrollmap, you can potentially identify why users leave a page without moving on to the next step. For example: a Call To Action (CTA) not directly visible (because it is located below the fold).
All important elements must indeed be visible to the user without scrolling and on all devices!

Calculating the percentage of clicks your main element receives out of all clicks on the page is also representative.
Session recording
Session recording and heatmaps are complementary tools. Recording users' visits allows you to analyze their behavior in a precise manner.
You will thus identify where Internet users “hesitate” in their journey. This indicates the presence of elements to correct or optimize.
