Health Action (SNEHA) is a non-profit organization founded in 1996 to address the health problems of women and children in informal settlements, considering above all that health is a essential for everyone. SHENA deals with four main problems: maternity services and care, child nutrition, violence against women and children, adolescent health, with the aim, through its work, of reducing maternal and neonatal mortality and diseases, child malnutrition and gender violence. So far, more than 20 programs have been implemented in Mumbai and across the state of Maharashtra and others, and the organization creates partnerships with government and private entities to reach maximum people.
