A member of one of the most prominent families in Arico, of military and religious people, our biographer continued his ecclesiastical career after obtaining a chaplaincy and a life estate from his family. After being ordained a priest, he served his entire life as a chaplain, assigned to the parish of San Juan Bautista in his hometown, where he collaborated with numerous parish priests.
